Beast Wedge Wide Play

Another awesome wedge variation is that the lineman and three running backs go wide. If they try to start stacking the box and move people around, you can start running it wide. The quarterback can run it outside once it opens up. This is basically a Sweep play from the Wedge/Beast formation.

Beast Wedge Numbers Game

The wedge tips the numbers in your favor. You have 9+ players going against 2 or 3. You are overloading that entire side of the field with blockers. I like those odds.

Football is a numbers game. How can we get more of our players on fewer of their players.

If your league changes the rules or tries to ban this play. Just line up with one running back standing next to the quarterback, and one behind him, and the third running back can be out as a wide receiver.

Call that third running back in motion. Have them all blast through the line. The quarterback can wait, then take off behind them. This would be a Blast play. I have had some leagues try and ban the wedge.
